How is Perch different from other scheduling tools?

Most scheduling tools answer one question: who works Tuesday? They match staff availability to weekly shifts. Perch is built for a different problem — rotating staff through defined positions during a single shift. If your team covers multiple stations throughout the day, that's a coverage problem, not a shift problem.

Do my staff need to install an app?

No. Perch runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or laptop. Staff get an email or printed schedule, log in to see their own shifts, and that's it — nothing to download from an app store.

How long does setup take?

It depends on scale. A small venue can be set up in an afternoon. Larger operations take longer to map positions and import staff — but once the foundation is in, schedules can generate in seconds.

Can I import my staff list?

Yes. Drop in a CSV or Excel file with name, email, and position — the same shape most HR exports use. Perch invites everyone in one pass. A sample template is available inside the app.

Does Perch work for my operation?

Can I manage multiple locations?

How do staff get their schedules?

Two ways. Perch can email the schedule to staff with an email on file, or print time slips for everyone else — hand them out at shift start.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your data is isolated per organization, enforced server-side — no customer can read another's. Traffic is encrypted in transit and at rest. Card data stays at Stripe; Perch never sees it. We don't sell data and don't use it to train AI models. Full architecture, sub-processors, and incident response at /security.
